Hello, I have read your question and understood the condition of the baby. It's good that you took a good decision to take the baby to a doctor.I guess the baby is probably suffering from a bacterial or viral infection which needs antibiotic treatment along with the other medicines your doctor has been prescribed. Is the baby having a fever?Any known hypersensitivity to medicines previously?
As you have not mentioned the baby's weight, I won't be able to advise you exact dosage for the antibiotic that I will be mentioning here.As the baby is having a productive cough, the syrup Ascoril D won't work well, instead give the baby Ascoril C after consulting your doctor one more time before administrating it.
Also, I would suggest you an oral suspension called Augmentin Syrup 125 (2.5 mL 3 times a day as the baby is below Hope this helps. If any queries feel free to contact anytime.Stay healthy.
